Leonardtown takes on Colonial Beach

On June 9th, 2023, members from the Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad attended the 72nd Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Dept Parade. This parade kicks off the start of many festivities in Colonial Beach VA. This parade is attended by many different Fire/EMS companies from all over. This is considered the "loudest parade in the nation". Members took the new Ambulance 199 and EMS 19. All apparatus are judged prior to the beginning of the parade. Compartment checks are completed by judges along with questioning of the apparatuses capability. After the parade, awards are given out. This year we are happy to announce the following awards we received:

-Best appearing Basic Life Support Unit
-Best appearing Rapid Response Unit
-Best appearing overall EMS Company
