On February 4, LVRS members attended the monthly drill at our station. This drill was presented by Lt. Russell and Lt. Jones from the St. Mary's County Sheriffs Office on scene safety and how EMS providers can assist law enforcement personnel on scene of incidents. This included the equipment officers wear, how EMS personnel can treat a downed officer, and how EMS personnel can remove the equipment if needed. Defining the roles of personnel can greatly impact the efficiency on scenes. We would like to send a most sincere 'Thank You' to Lt. Russell and Lt. Jones for presenting this information to our members.
