Ambulance 197 (International) Finds a New Home

Over the years, Ambulances get age on them and to the point that parts are obsolete and we can no longer find ways to repair them. Our International Ambulance 197 was in our fleet for quite some time and was the 2nd International Road Rescue Ambulance that we purchased.

When we discussed options during the time that we looked at replacing Ambulance 197 for new Ambulance 197 (that drives like a Caddy!), we found no trade in value, low blue book values, and in the past, we are lucky to get rid of them and get some money to put back in the Ambulance Account.

This Ambulance was sold to one of our own members, our Engineer who knows this Ambulance in and out. Mike and his family purchased this Ambulance on his 21st wedding anniversary. Some ladies get flowers, some ladies get an Ambulance. His children are ecstatic about it. When asking Mike what he plans to do, he is going to convert it into a camper type area in the back for when they go to many ball outings for their children.

So, if you see this ambulance parked.......it is no longer in service for our department.

Congratulations Mike, Mary and VanRyswick family!
